We not only make use of a product, we create a personal relationship with it. For Beate Woehrle, products are not only objects, rather they are partners in daily life which amuse, sustain and accompany their users. She challenges usage whilst paying attention to apparently insignificant aspects of objects, which are transformed into the central point of a product's story.
This creative approach has been the hallmark of Beate's work since the very beginning of her studies. While studying for her Masters at the Royal College of Art, London and during her postgraduate studies (Design culture at the University of Art & Design, Zurich), she further developed her creative approach, broadening the scope of her research to embrace trends and broader market contexts. Today Beate brings forth well-considered, functional products with a strong narrative presents which remain coherent with the minimalist language of forms which characterizes her creations.
