François Hédin is French-Brazilian. His wealth is the distinctness which he is able to put to use within the projects on which he comes to work. He is one of those designers who tackle design in a multifaceted fashion, as evidenced by his ‘Ondes’ mirror, which finds a subtle balance between graphic design and the object itself.
His view of design as a limitless playground is also reflected in his chosen career path. Having started out at the Beaux Arts, he obtained his D.N.S.E.P. from the ESAD, Reims; then there was an apprenticeship in ceramics under Fernando Brizio in Portugal (ESAD de Caldas da Rainha); and he also took part in several collective exhibitions at the Biennale de Design de Saint-Étienne. Since 2009 he has been working with a number of luxury brands on promotional scenography and retail design work. Today, he continues to develop relationships with artisans from various spheres, along with collaborations relating to objects, fashion or scenography.
His Ondes mirror was presented at the Maison et Objet and Cologne fairs in January 2012.
