Florence Bourel and Emmanuel Gillet met whilst studying design and interior architecture at IDEA.

Florence works with a variety of interior architects and designers (fitting-out of ambassadorial residences, window displays for Hermès and Cartier, contract furniture for Torck et Noirot). Since 1998 she has collaborated with the Atelier Intégral Ruedi Baur et associés on a range of signage projects such as that for the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, in conjunction with Eric Jourdan.

Emmanuel founded his agency Autre Version in 1994, specialising in ephemeral architecture (stands, product display materials, welcome seating...). Most notably he has designed stands for Sicli, Sonacotra, Butagaz, les éditions Lamy and Jurisclasseur...

They founded Poisson d'avril in 1997, with the aim of developing their product design activities both together and independently, focusing on a number of key objects. Their work centres principally around packaging for vegetables, with mouth-blown glass as their material of choice.
