The internationally successful interior architect and designer Didier Gomez lives in the Le Marais quartier of Paris, where his spacious penthouse apartment looks out onto a verdant courtyard. The rooms are arranged - quite without artifice – with exclusive, rarely-seen design classics. Gomez combines African tribal masks with a flute, since “music underpins my whole life.” The designer has fingers in an unbelievable number of pies, just as in demand for designing cosmetics packaging – as he did for cosmetics giant L’Oréal – as he is for restaurant design, such as the phenomenally successful ‘Mood’ in the Champs Elysées, Paris. Small wonder, then, that a major international design-led brand such as Ligne Roset often calls upon the creativity of the star designer: their long and exceedingly fruitful partnership has brought forth creations such as the STRICTO SENSU range of upholstery and the CONTOURS collection of stand-alone storage.
