Ligne Roset had two reasons for christening this armchair, one of Pierre Paulin’s final creations, ''Anneau'': as a homage to the great designer, whose very first armchair, designed in 1954, bore the same name; and because of the very particular shape of its base (Anneau means Ring in French). From whichever angle one views it, the base, rings, seat and back unite to create a piece of great elegance, a harmonious symphony of curving lines which each find echo in parallel or inverted symmetry. Whilst remaining loyal to his design vocabulary, Pierre Paulin has readjusted, remodelled and now brings us an armchair which is at once sculptural and functional, flexible and dynamic, sensual and futuristic.
